  • (A) ⟮2r /√3⟯
  • (B) ⟮r/^3√2 ⟯
  • (C) ⟮2r / 3⟯
  • (D) ⟮r /√2⟯^2
Explanation:

T cos θ = mg
T sin θ = F

∴ tan θ = F / mg

From figure, tan θ = Fe / mg

=> (r / 2) / y = (kq^2 / r^2) / mg

[∵ F = kq^2 / r^2 from coulomb's law]
=> r^3 ∝ y
When string is clamped at half the height

r'^3 ∝ y / 2
Dividing the above two equations, we have

According to Darwin, the organic evolution is due to:

[4 Marks]
  • (A) Interspecific competition
  • (B) Intraspecific competition
  • (C) Competition within closely related species
  • (D) Reduced feeding efficiency in one species
